Katherine Brown, Hay House Director

Katey Brown, Director of Hay House, holds a Ph.D. in art history from Indiana University (1998). Hay House director since October 2006, Katey is the former Curator of Historic Macon Foundation (2004-06) and prior to that, taught art history on University of Georgia's Study Abroad Program in Cortona, Italy from 2000-2004. Katey oversees the restoration, development, and operations of Hay House.

Emelyn Arnold, Rhodes Hall Visitor Services Coordinator

Emelyn Arnold is orignally from a very small town outside of Augusta, Ga., and started studying piano at the age of four. She graduated from Wesleyan College, a girls’ school in Macon, with a degree in History. She then taught history and obtained her Master’s Degree in History from the University of Georgia. Emelyn then went into real estate in Atlanta for over twenty years. Today she lives at Chastain Park with my pets in one of the original WWII cottages and sings in the choir at Peachtree Road Methodist. She thoroughly enjoys playing cocktail music for events.

Ann Dorsey, Rhodes Hall Special Events Coordinator

Ann Dorsey joined The Georgia Trust as Rhodes Hall's Special Events Coordinator in September of 2008. With over 6 years of event planning experience, she thoroughly enjoys the satisfaction of seeing events through from start to finish. As a native of Delmar in Bethlehem, New York- a small suburb of Albany established in 1793- Ann has always had an interest in historic homes and places. She is proud to be a part of The Georgia Trust and Rhodes Hall.
Ann currently lives in Atlanta with her husband, Kevin and their 7 month old daughter, Nora.

Laraine Lind, Director of Rhodes Hall

Laraine Lind, director of Rhodes Hall, is originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2004. As director of Rhodes Hall, she oversees the Romanesque Revival mansion that functions as both a house museum and the headquarters for The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. Rhodes Hall is also a popular rental facility for corporate and social events.

She received her bachelor’s degree in art history at the University of Florida in 2000, and is currently completing her master’s degree in museums studies from UF. Mrs. Lind has been active in the art community, working at the Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art in Gainesville, Florida and interning at Atlanta’s High Museum of Art. She has held positions at various museum and art institutions as a volunteer coordinator, a curator, museum registration assistant and development assistant. She lives in the “upper Westside” of Atlanta with her husband Chris, son August, and long-haired German Shepherd Dog Brady.

Evan Thibeault - Main Street Design Manager

Evan Thibeault became the Manager of the Main Street Design Assistance Program in 2006. In this capacity, he advises client cities on recommended preservation techniques and produces illustrative renderings of project proposals.
A native New Englander, Evan received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Syracuse University. After developing an interest in landscape design, he established his own design/build firm in St. Louis. A desire to produce work of public significance later brought him to the Southeast to attain a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the well-regarded University of Georgia program. Most recently, he spent over two years working for the Georgia Department of Community Affairs' Office of Downtown Development where he provided design assistance to Better Hometown cities throughout the state.

Kate Ryan, Programs Manager

Kate Ryan, Programs Manager at The Georgia Trust, grew up in a Havertown, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. She moved to Savannah, GA in 1999 to study historic preservation. She received both a BFA and MA in historic preservation from Savannah College of Art and Design and has worked throughout southeast Georgia and Florida in areas of art and antiques, historic research and documentation, cultural resource management and archaeology, and historic preservation. Her hobbies include reading, painting, cooking, visiting museums, and roadtripping. Kate moved to Atlanta in 2007 to work for The Georgia Trust.
